TutorVista Sees $10.75M Series B Round

SAN FRANCISCO, CA  --  Online education start-up TutorVista announced the close of a series B round of financing, netting $10,750,000 in new investment.

The company provides affordable online tutoring solutions for children via its network of tutors based in India.  Their "unlimited" plan is $99 per month.

Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round, which included Sequoia Capital and Silicon Valley Bank.  The company intends to use the proceeds to its services and operations around the globe.  Currently it offers tutoring services in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
